It's a Boy!

Can you see our baby's penis?

Our baby measuring at 108mm at 16 weeks.

Last Saturday (26th Jan) was a significant and memorable day for JS and I. It was the day we knew our baby's gender. Many guesses have been made by our friends and relatives on our baby's gender, with most guesses on baby girl. JS and I prefer not to guess, however, we each have our own preference. I am secretly hoping for a girl while JS hopes for a boy. We have both agreed that no matter what the gender of the baby, we will still love our baby as much.

On the day of check-up (sat), our gynae made us guess the baby's gender before she will reveal it to us. Not surprisingly, I guessed the sex to be a girl, while JS guessed the baby to be a boy. Before we even have time to prepare what we will be hearing next, the gynae said, "it looks like it is a Chinese New Year present to the father." With that, we knew that it is a going to be boy. Followed by that statement, our gynae pointed out the baby's penis (2nd picture) to us. No words could describe my feelings at that moment. I had never felt that happy before. No words could describe my happiness then. At that moment, boy or girl does not matter to me anymore. What is most important is that this is the gift God has given JS and I for our love. And nothing will ever beats this gift, not even a LV bag...

My stomach at 16 weeks of pregnancy...

This was how my stomach looked like at my 16 weeks of pregnancy (last week). Many of my friends mentioned that my stomach still looked small for a 16 weeeks pregnancy. Even my mum commented on it too. All these while, I was never the least concern about the small size of my stomach. Instead I wanted it to be small so that I do not look fat and also be able to continue to fit my pre-maternity clothings. In fact, up to today, I am still trying to squeeze in to my usual clothings, instead of those ugly and loose maternity clothings. I know I am vain but I just cannot help it...

However, after the comments made by my mother, I started to get abit panicky. I couldn't wait till my next appointment with my gynae to check on the growth of my baby. While then to the next appointment, I just have to continue to receive comments about my stomach being small...

First GIFT to our baby...

This will be the first and best GIFT to our baby, who is 14 weeks old as of today's date. What could be a better GIFT than to record down each and every of our baby's progression from the moment we are blessed with this baby from GOD.
